The Teachers
Our teachers are individuals dedicated to ensuring continued access to and preparation for college for a diverse student population. Our staff is drawn from individuals currently working in schools across the state of Arizona, as well as in Colorado and Virginia. Our recruiting process draws to the faculty certified teachers from both public and private schools. Many of them have, or are currently pursuing, advanced degrees in Education. Teachers at S.E.P. cite the opportunity to work in a team-teaching environment, learning new forms of pedagogy as one of the attractions of the program. Classes consist of approximately 30 students with two teachers and two teaching assistants for each class. Teaching assistants are generally undergraduate students or experienced teachers' aides currently working in Arizona schools.
