Senior Resident Advisor

The Senior Resident Advisor’s (SRAs) main responsibility is the supervision of SEPs Resident Advisors (RAs). The SRAs responsibilities include, but are not limited to: overseeing the health and safety of the students in their RAs charge at all times, guarantee that their RAs inform the students of S.E.P. rules and guidelines, work closely with the Residential Coordinator Supervisor (RCS) to ensure that the students’ dormitory experience is safe and memorable one, and supervising their RAs in regards to planning and conducting student activities.

SRAs' working hours are seven days a weeks, primarily during morning administrative staff meetings, mid-day planning time, the activity periods, student social time/hall meeting time, and afternoon/evening office hours as coordinated by the RCS. Employment in S.E.P. should be considered a full time commitment.

Terms of Employment:

• Starting salary is $2400 for four sessions
• Employees pay their travel to and from N.A.U.
• Room and board are provided

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience as a college RA or camp counselor
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong academic record
• Experience working with SEPs age group (13-17)
• Excellent time management skills
• Mature, responsible, supportive and energetic
• Strong leadership skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• High level organizational skills, particularly with administration and coordination of events
