Although many students demonstrate academic potential, they often face a variety of obstacles that limit their educational opportunities. Since 1999, the focus of the Summer Enrichment Program has been to offer an intensive summer experience for students who demonstrate unmet potential, and would most benefit from academic and personal support. S.E.P. serves to help students in Arizona build and expand their academic and social skills through hard work, while increasing expectations and personal commitment, and assisting students to strive towards a positive future.
Northern Arizona University College of Education is committed to continuing this already successful program. This commitment represents an opportunity to create and expand educational programs for diverse student populations in our state, while serving to introduce students to the University environment and establish important networks of support. The Summer Enrichment Program promotes the joy of learning and inspires participants to consider their educational goals. The program further serves to demonstrate that young people can take charge of their educational futures.
