Administrative Assistants are responsible for assisting the S.E.P. Program Coordinator to prepare for the Summer sessions and assist in continuing to ensure SEP success. Some of the Administrative Assistant’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: various office duties such as word processing, copying, filing, scheduling, etc; establishing a pleasant and cooperative working environment by acting as a communications liaison between all residential, academic, and administrative staff; learning all residential, academic, and administrative job duties in case of necessary substitution due to illness or emergency; and other duties as assigned by the Program Coordinator/Director. In addition, the Administrative Assistant will act as the site liaison between all off campus locations and the SEP Main office, including participating schools as well as assisting the SEP Nurse with various duties.
The Administrative Assistant’s working hours are usually 8:00am to 5:00pm AND 6:30pm to 8:00pm. Other commitments may include meeting times, and/or additional time for planning and preparation of different projects. Administrative Assistants work weekends. Employment in SEP should be considered a full time commitment.
